The Stuff Roger Klug Uses To Make Sounds

Guitars-

'71 Gibson Les Paul Custom black

My baby, bought it used from my guitar teacher's keyboard player when I was 14 with all the money I saved from delivering the Detroit News; have thrown it down the stairs at Kilgore's (now Buzz Coffeehouse), bounced it on the stage like a basketball at Dollar Bill's (now God-knows-what), accidentally ran over it with a van, but it still loves me, and nothing feels better whilst soloing.  The guitar I grew up on.

'83 Gibson ES-335 Custom Shop blonde

Always wanted a red one, but got this pretty blonde from Gary's Classic Guitars.

'80s Fender Telecaster Japanese-made red

Poured cranberry juice on it at Longworth's; surfed on it at Longworth's; threw it across the dance floor at RBC on Main St.; then something happened and it became my main guitar through much of the Double Naughties. Spank The Plank!

Gibson Les Paul Special 2006

Bought new off the rack at Guitar Center, the only time I've ever done such a thing. Very sweet, P-90 chime with modern-day intonation. Producer Mark Liggett wants to buy this guitar off me!

Gibson DL30 acoustic guitar

Peavey Ecoustic hybrid thingy pretty unusable but for some things, it's perfect

Sears nylon-string guitar '60s

My mom's old guitar; had the brilliant idea to use a credit card as a pick when I was 8 or so and ruined the finish below the soundhole.

Surprisingly, have never owned, in fact, have resisted owning, a Fender Stratocaster, though have borrowed and used quite a few, notably Rick Lisak's '71 Strat (Willies' second album & many gigs) and Dean Middleton's '90s Strat w/SRV pickguard (3 3-way switches giving 27 possible combinations) (Clem Comstock, Turn To Stone, Jimi Hendrix impersonation at Ridge Day Parade, July 2007)
